Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 07.08.2025 and make payment to the petitioner along with interest and cost. For petitioner :

This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 07.08.2025 and make payment to the petitioner along with interest and cost."
2. The petitioner is a well established manufacturer and supplier of irrigation equipment, including drip irrigation systems.
3. The petitioner would submit that pursuant to purchase contract, they have supplied drip irrigation equipment to the Horticulture Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, in good faith and in 3/7
accordance with the agreed terms and conditions. The 1st respondent has made a payment of Rs. 10,97,600/- by way of cheque towards the cost of supply of drip irrigation equipment during the year 2008 - 2009 and the said cheque could not be encashed as it was lost.
4. In this regard, the petitioner company approached the 1st respondent in person and addressed various letters and finally made a representation dated 07.08.2025. Since there is no response the petitioner is before this Court.
5. Considering the limited relief sought by the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation within a period of 3 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. 24.02.2026 kan 4/7
