O R D E R
This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the respondent to consider the representation dated 09.09.2025 for issuance of Class - II legal heir certificate to the petitioner in compliance of GO.Ms.No.110 dated 13.03.2024".
2. The petitioner would submit that one T.Komaleeswari is his paternal aunt and the said Komaleeswari died on 06.05.2021. The petitioner submits that the said Komaleeswari died as a spinster and her parents had died long ago.
3. The petitioner would submit that till her death, the said Komaleeswari lived with the petitioner and her name was also included 2/6
in the petitioner's family card. After the demise of the said Komaleeswari, the petitioner approached the respondent seeking Class II legal heir certificate. However, the petitioner's request was rejected stating that there is no provision for issuance of legal heir certificate for Class II legal heir.

The petitioner's case is that the State Government has issued GO.Ms.No.478 dated 29.09.2022 and GO.Ms.No.110 dated 13.03.2024, with certain guidelines for issuance of legal heir certificate to Class II legal heirs. The petitioner made a representation dated 09.09.2025 to the respondent in this regard. However, the same was not considered. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

Considering the fact that the deceased Komaleeswari is a paternal aunt of the petitioner and all her Class I legal heirs are no more, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders, within a period of 3 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall produce death certificates of the deceased Class I legal 3/6
heirs of the deceased Komaleeswari to enable the respondent to confirm that there are no Class I legal heirs for the deceased Komaleeswari.
6. With the above direction, this writ petition is allowed. No costs.
