O R D E R

The present Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to initiate criminal action against the accused, based on the petitioners' complaint dated 28.11.2025. Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition (Criminal) is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that three persons viz., Manonmani, Suresh Kumar and Janardhanan, who were introduced through mediators, had cheated the petitioners to the tune of Rs.50 lakhs in connection with a petrol bunk lease. Therefore, the petitioners lodged a complaint to the respondent on 28.11.2025. Since no action has been taken on the said complaint, the present petition has been filed.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the complaint given by the petitioners to the respondent on 28.11.2025 was forwarded to the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Coimbatore. He further submitted that based on the said complaint, an enquiry is being conducted in C.No.P3/12101942/2077/SP/CBE/CP/25 and the same would be disposed of within a period of four weeks. 6.

Recording the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Coimbatore to conduct an enquiry on the petitioners' complaint dated 28.11.2025 and dispose of the same within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.

With the above directions, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
