ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to close down the TASMAC shop, which has been reopened in the very same Building No.7/4, S.R.P. Kovil Street, Agaram, Chennai 600 082.

2. The petitioner claims that the above TASMAC shop has been reopened in the very same Building, contrary to the TASMAC policy. In such circumstances, the petitioner has given a representation to the respondents on 15.11.2025, requesting the respondents to close down the aforementioned TASMAC shop. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, this writ petition has been filed.

3. Mr. P. Anandakumar, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondent No.1 and Mr. Sathishkumar, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 2 and 3.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation, seeking for closing down of the subject TASMAC shop is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the

petitioner's representation.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the third respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 15.11.2025, seeking for closure of the TASMAC shop at No.7/4, S.R.P. Kovil Street, Agaram, Chennai 600 082 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
