O R D E R

The petitioner herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa) and 4(1-A) of the TNP Act in Crime No.475 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 110 litres of ID arrack. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that, petitioner has 52 previous cases.

5. Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the fact that huge quantity of contraband is involved in this case and the fact that petitioner is an habitual offendor having 52 previous cases and if he granted anticipatory bail, there is a possibility that the petitioner will involve in similar offence, hence this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original petition is dismissed. 12.01.2026 sma 3/4
