PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent of the Chief Secretary, Government of Tamil Nadu, to consider and dispose of

petitioner's review application filed under Sections 15AA and 15A of the Tamil Nadu Police Sub-ordinate Service (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1955, on 27.10.2025, expeditiously and within a time frame. For Petitioner :

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a mandamus, directing the 1st respondent Chief Secretary, Government of Tamil Nadu, to consider and dispose of petitioner's review application filed under Sections 15AA and 15A of the Tamil Nadu Police Sub-ordinate Service (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1955, on 27.10.2025, expeditiously and within a time frame.

2. With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, this writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the

petitioner's review application dated 27.10.2025 and dispose of the same within a specified time.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the 1st respondent will consider the petitioner's review application dated 27.10.2025 and dispose of the same within a period of twelve weeks.

5. In view of the same, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the review application filed by the petitioner dated 27.10.2025 and dispose of the same, in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
