ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to release the petitioner's statutory and service benefits, which were lawfully deducted and accrued during the petitioners period of service from 12.08.1998 to 26.05.2009, based on the petitioners representation dated 16.11.2025. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as a Driver-cum-Conductor under the Tamil Nadu State Express Transport Corporation on 12.08.1998 and was allotted Employee No.30781. After due selection and medical fitness, his services were regularised and made permanent with effect from 01.08.1999. The petitioner discharged his duties sincerely and diligently for nearly a decade without any adverse remarks or disciplinary action. Whileso on 28.12.

2008, while the petitioner was on duty operating a Tiruchendur-Puducherry bus bearing Route No.847, false and baseless allegations were levelled against him, alleging improper resting during the halt and inappropriate behaviour with a passenger. The petitioner categorically denied the allegations. No fair or proper domestic enquiry was conducted, and the principles of natural justice were grossly violated. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation on 16.11.2025. However, no action has been taken till date. Hence the present writ petition has been filed.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation within a reasonable time.

4.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
