ORDER

Heard Mr.S.Mohan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Ramesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 3 and 4.

2. The revision petitioner is the decree holder, who has filed EP.No.45 of 2021, before the District Munsif, Kunnam, to execute the decree passed in OS.No.659 of 2014 on the file of District Munsif Court, Perambalur.

3. The petitioner seeks expeditious dispose of the execution petition, which is pending in E.A.No.5 of 2022 for more than four years now. The Hon'ble Supreme Court has, time and again, reiterated that execution petition shall have to be given preference and disposed of within a period of six months.

4. In the light of the above and considering the limited relief sought for in the revision, notice to the respondents 1 and 2 is dispensed with. E.A.No.5 of 2022 is only an application seeking to stay of the execution proceedings. The Executing Court shall dispose of the E.A.No.5 of 2022 on merits and in accordance, with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording a fair opportunity to both parties.

5. With the above directions, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
