..Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the District Collector, Kancheepuram District, the first respondent herein to refer the reference application dated 17.09.2020 with respect to the properties comprised in S.No.462/13B to an extent of 1,187 sq. mts. out of 1,821.15 sq. mts. and in S.No.483/1B2 to an extent of 1,146 sq.mts., out of 1,861.62 sq. mts. situated at

Nedungundram Village, Tambaram Taluk, then Kancheepuram District now Chengalpattu District, that is subject matter of the acquisition to the Competent Authority constituted under Section 51 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 based on the representation dated 10.11.2025 within such time as may be prescribed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

In relation to Award No.1/2020, award serial nos.28 and 35, the petitioner had made a representation dated 17.09.2020 seeking enhanced compensation in terms of Act 30 of 2013. W.P.No.25086 of 2021 was also filed for a direction to act on the said representation. The writ petition was disposed of by order dated 24.11.2021 directing consideration and disposal of the representation. By asserting that no action was taken, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the first respondent would consider the petitioner's request and make the reference within a reasonable period.

3. Considering the above submissions, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's request for reference and take necessary steps in relation thereto within a maximum period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There will be no order as to costs.
