Respondent(s) PRAYER; This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, Calling for the records of the Respondent University relating to the appointment of Assistant Professors in the Department of Tamil pursuant to Advertisement No. 30/2017-2018 dated 07.07.2017 and Advertisement No. PU.RC.2019/34 dated 05.08.2019, and consequently direct the respondent to consider and appoint the petitioner as Assistant Professor (Tamil) under OBC (Non-creamy Layer) Category based on her representation dated 09.01.2025, 24.04.2025. 24.07.2025. 09.08.2025, 14.09.2025 and 26.09.2025 with effect from the date on which the said vacancies were filled up with other candidates together with all consequential service benefits.

ORDER
This petition has been filed calling for the records of the Respondent University relating to the appointment of Assistant Professors in the Department of Tamil pursuant to Advertisement No. 30/2017-2018 dated 07.07.2017 and Advertisement No. PU.RC.2019/34 dated 05.08.2019, and consequently direct the respondent to consider and appoint the petitioner as Assistant Professor (Tamil) under OBC (Non-creamy Layer) Category based on her representation dated 09.01.2025, 24.04.2025. 24.07.2025. 09.08.2025, 14.09.2025 and 26.09.2025 with effect from the date on which the said vacancies were filled up with other candidates together with all consequential service benefits.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the representations will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
4. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 26.09.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
