..Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to deposit the compensation amount as per the judgement and decree dated 22.09.2017 passed by the learned Subordinate Judge, Ponneri in L.A.O.P No.798 of 1998 and as per representation dated 16.07.2025 and alternatively to declare the lands acquired by the respondents in G.O.Ms.No.749, Industries dated 24.07.1990 published in Tamil Nadu Government Gazette part 2 section 2 dated 08.08.1990 stands lapsed.

ORDER
The petitioners' land was acquired under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 and compensation was determined under Award No.6/1993. Pursuant to a reference, enhanced compensation was determined in LAOP.No.798/1998. On
the ground that such enhanced compensation has not been paid till date, the present writ petition has been filed.
2. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice for all the respondents. He submits that the matter has been entrusted to an empowered committee and that a Government Order would be issued by the empowered committee within four weeks. Pursuant thereto, he submits that the compensation amount would be deposited with the Principal District Court, Tiruvallur within six weeks from today.
3. Recording the said submission, this writ petition is disposed of by directing that the compensation payable to the petitioners shall be deposited before the Principal District Court, Tiruvallur within a maximum period of six weeks from today.
