Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.10.2025 and take immediate and appropriate action for removal of the old and dilapidated structure situated in front of the petitioner's house at No.22/9, Ganeshapuram, 3rd Main Road, Nandanam, Chennai 600 035, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) With the consent of parties, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Corporation that the Corporation shall pass an order in writing granting permission to the petitioner to demolish the dilapidated structure through a proper drawing. Upon receipt of the same, it is open for the petitioner to demolish the dilapidated structure and collect photographs and submit an affidavit in the Corporation regarding demolition. The petitioner would be under an obligation to remove the debris and clear the street. There shall be no order as to costs.
