Respondent(s) PRAYER:-Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for an issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner for the properties to an extent of 22 cents in survey No 305/2A and 22 cents Survey no 305/2B both of No 119, Pallikaranai Village, Sholinganalalur Taluk, Chennai District in view of the Tamil Nadu Land Ceiling and Regulation Repeal Act 20 of 1999 as claimed by the petitioner in his representation dated 15.12.2025.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to issue patta in the name of the petitioner for the properties more fully described in the prayer to this writ petition, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.The petitioner has not filed an online application with the respondents for the issuance of patta. Necessarily an online application will have to be submitted by the petitioner for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner. 3.No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if a direction is issued to the petitioner to submit an online application with the respondents for issuance of patta, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court and also a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the said online application, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's application seeking for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner.
5.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the petitioner to submit a fresh online application seeking for issuance of patta in his favour for the properties more fully described in the prayer to this writ petition within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On the receipt of the said online application, the 3rd respondent shall pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's online application, within a period of twelve weeks thereafter, after hearing the objections of the neighbouring land owners and any other third party, whom the 3rd respondent deems fit to enquire.
