2. The petitioner challenges the refusal check slip issued by the respondent. The claim of the petitioner is that the property situated in Survey No.210/26 at Naduvaneri Village, Sankari Taluk, Salem District is a Patta land. He states that a Patta was issued in his favour by the jurisdictional Tahsildar as early as on 08.08.2015. Despite the same, when he attempted to register a sale deed in favour of a third party, the refusal check slip came to be issued. The petitioner has enclosed the Patta issued by the Tahsildar in Patta No.1554 in the typed set of papers.

3. A perusal of the impugned order shows that the respondent has not taken into consideration the Patta that has been issued by the Revenue authorities. On the short ground of non application of mind and failure to refer to relevant documents, the order deserves to be set aside. Accordingly, it is set aside.

4. Mr.Bharanidharan states that the sole respondent would have to verify the genuineness of the Patta with the concerned Tahsildar. The respondent shall approach the Tahsildar and confirm as to the genuineness of the Patta issued by __________Page 2 of 4

that authority. In the event of the report stating that the Patta is genuine, the respondent shall register the sale deed executed by the petitioner. Such exercise shall be carried out within a period of four weeks from today.
