ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to3 to provide police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and her son at the time of fixation of CCTV camera in the petitioner's house and to carry on agricultural operation to harvest the crops in the subject property of the petitioner's land. 2/7
2. Considering the relief sought for in this writ petition, this Court, without issuing notice to the private respondents, is inclined to dispose of the writ petition.

The case of the petitioner is that she is the absolute owner of the properties namely the house and the agricultural lands situated at Survey Nos.48/1, 48/2, 49/5, 49/7, 49/8, 49/9, 50/1 and 50/5 of Deviyakurichi Village, Thailavvasal, Salem. Her son was married to the fourth respondent on 30.1.2022. Due to some family family, her son and her daughter-in-law were separated and a divorce petition is pending before the Sub Court, Attur, in O.P.No.40 of 2024. The respondents 5 to 9 who are the relatives of her daughter-in-law, are causing disturbance to the possession and enjoyment of the property. The petitioner and her son were thrown away from the subject property by the private respondents with the help of henchmen and they had also damaged the CCTV camera fixed in petitioner's property. Several police complaints have been lodged against the private respondents and the same are pending without any action. Now the petitioner and her son are residing temporarily in the adjacent village.
4. The petitioner would further submit that the crops in her agricultural 3/7
lands are ripe for harvest and as a safety measure, she wants to fix a CCTV camera in her house to monitor the crops. She apprehends threat at the hands of the private respondents to her life and to her son's life when they come to their native place and that the private respondents would also obstruct to the fixation of CCTV camera. Hence, the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 25.10.2025 to the respondents 1 to 3 seeking police protection. The same is not considered by the official respondents till date. Hence, the present writ petition.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that there is a matrimonial dispute pending between the petitioner's son and her daughter-in-law, the fourth respondent herein. As a consequence, the dispute also existed between the petitioner and the fourth respondent. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered and an enquiry will be conducted shortly.
6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and also the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for respondents 1 to 3 and also perused the materials placed before the Court. 4/7

Recording the aforesaid submissions of the learned Government Advocate and also considering the fact that the representation made by the petitioner is still pending before the respondent-police without consideration, this Court directs the third respondent police to conduct an enquiry on the petitioner's representation dated 25.10.2025, after affording an opportunity of hearing to both the parties and dispose of the petitioner's representation in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
