ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The writ of Mandamus has been instituted to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.11.2025 and consequently to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to take appropriate action against the 4th respondent from putting up construction activity in the Government Poramboke land situated in Survey No.499/2 of Chettipalayam Village, Madukarai Taluk, Coimbatore District.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that construction activities are partly going on in Government Poramboke lands and that the authorities have failed to initiate appropriate action to protect the Government Poramboke lands. In this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that authorities would look into the complaint given by the petitioner and initiate appropriate action.

4. In view of the above submissions, respondents 1 to 3 are directed to conduct a survey and initiate appropriate action based on the representation submitted by the petitioner and to protect the Government Poramboke land in public interest. While conducting the survey or initiating action, an opportunity must be provided to all the parties including the 4th respondent.

5. With the aforesaid observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
