The applicants seek leave to place additional documents on record in support of their case and to meet the defence raised in the written statements. The application has been filed under Order XIV Rule 8 of the Original Side Rules read with Order VII Rule 14(3) CPC, seeking permission to file the additional documents set out in the schedule to the Judge's Summons.

2. Though the application is opposed by the 2nd respondent / 2nd defendant on various grounds, including delay, maintainability and admissibility, this Court is of the view that, since the trial has not yet commenced, reception of the documents at this stage would not by itself cause prejudice to the respondents. The respondents will, in any event, have full liberty to raise all objections as to admissibility, relevancy, proof and evidentiary value at the appropriate stage.

3. Accordingly, A.No.413 of 2026 is allowed, leaving open all objections of the respondents as to admissibility, relevancy, mode of proof and evidentiary value of the documents sought to be produced. No costs. 01.04.2026 nvi
