Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd and 4th respondents to relieve from the 5th respondent Institute pursuant to the order bearing Ref.No.16781/N2/2/2025 dated 31.07.2025 passed by the 2nd respondent Directorate and to divert the petitioner's service to the Tirunelveli Government Multi Speciality Hospital, Tirunelveli District within a timeframe fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

The petitioner is working as a Staff Nurse with the Directorate of Medical and Rural Health Services. On account of her family circumstances, she made a request for diverting her services from the Government Headquarters Hospital, Karaikudi to Tirunelveli Multi Speciality Hospital, Tirunelveli District. Finding her request reasonable, the Directorate of Medical and Rural Health Services passed an order on 31.07.2025 diverting her services accordingly. As the same had not been given effect to by the fifth respondent, she is before this Court.

2. Mrs.Sneha, Special Counsel for the Health Department representing Mr.Bindran brought to my notice the proceedings of the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services. The said proceedings is scanned and extracted hereunder:-

3. In terms of the order, it is stated that the petitioner will be relieved

from the fifth respondent hospital within a week. The statement is recorded.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, W.M.P.No.56437 of 2025 is closed. No costs.
