O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) This writ petition has been instituted to direct the respondents to take the petitioner's brother for further medical treatment to Government Stanley hospital by considering the representation dated 18.12.2025, namely Mathivanan, S/o.Sundarraj (aged 34 years) PID No.348867, who is now confined at Central Prison, Puzhal.

2. The petitioner has submitted an application on 18.12.2025 seeking medical treatment at Government Stanley Hospital. It is needless to state that the application submitted before the authorities must be disposed of within a time line contemplated under the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982. That being the factum, the respondents are directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 18.12.2025 as per the Rules.

3. It is made clear that in the event of time line contemplated under the Rules lapsed, the authorities are directed to dispose of the representation/application of the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
