2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner/appellant.

3. Being satisfied with the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, this petition is allowed and the delay of 242 days in filing the above appeal in S.A.Sr.No.56262 of 2018 is condoned.

4. The Registry is directed to number the appeal, if it is otherwise in order and print the name of the sole respondent viz., Karaikal Municipality when the matter is listed for admission.
