R.Palaniswamy ..Petitioner Vs The Secretary to Government Home(Pol.IA) Department Fort St.George Chennai-9 ..Respondent Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying certiorarified mandamus to call for the records of the respondent in connection with the impugned order passed by him in Lr.No.60352/Pol.IA/2003-2 dated 23.07.2003 and quash the same and direct the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion as Additional Superintendent of Police and grant him all consequential service and monetary benefits and grant him other reliefs.

ORDER

Both the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the order impugned in this writ petition has been given effect to and subsequently, the petitioner was promoted and now the petitioner is no more.
