The petitioner is the wife of the respondent.

2. According to the petitioner/wife, she is a resident of Tondiarpet, Chennai. The respondent/husband has been residing at Thiruvottriyur, Chennai. The petitioner/wife filed a petition for divorce before the Principal District Court, Thiruvallur against the respondent in IDOP.No.180 of 2018 for dissolution of marriage on the ground of cruelty.

3. Heard both sides.

4. Learned counsel appearing for either side would submit that the Family Court, Chennai is very nearer for them than the Principal District Court, Thiruvallur to attend hearings of the case. Therefore, for the convenience of both parties, they seek to transfer IDOP.No.180 of 2018, pending on the file of Principal District Court, Thiruvallur to Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai.

5. Considering the residence of both the parties and their convenience to attend the Court, this Court is inclined to transfer the IDOP No.180 of 2019 pending on the file of Principal District Court, Thiruvallur to Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai.

6. Accordingly, IDOP.No.180 of 2018 pending on the file of Principal District Court, Thiruvallur is withdrawn and transferred to Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai. No costs.

7. The Principal District Court, Thiruvallur is directed to transfer IDOP.No.180 of 2018 to Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai. The learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai is directed to re-number the petition, issue notice to both the parties and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible. Consequently, the connected C.M.P.No.18058 of 2018 is closed. No costs.
