O R D E R
Heard Mr.M.Munueeswaran, learned counsels for the petitioners and Mr.K.Rajendra Prasad, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.
2.As directed by this Court on earlier occasion, i.e., on 23.11.2018, the Tahsildar, Mr.K.Ekambaram, Mathuranthagam, is present in court. The Tahsildar, has passed an order dated 07.12.2018, in compliance with the directions issued by this Court stating certain reasons as to why patta cannot be granted. Similarly, the Tahsildar has stated that the petitioners may be entitled to free house site patta in terms of the Government Order. Furthermore, it appears that there has been tampering of original records by a Village Administrative Officer against whom, a criminal case has been filed and he is also under suspension.
3.For the above reasons, this contempt petition is closed giving liberty to the petitioners to challenge that portion of the order passed by the Tahsildar, if they are aggrieved, by filing an appeal. No costs.
