in C.P.No.378 of 1997 M.SUNDAR, J This common order will dispose of captioned seven applications all of which have been taken out with 'Condonation of Delay' ['COD'] prayers.
2. COD prayers are qua filing of applications to set aside various adjudication orders made by 'Official Liquidator attached to this Court' ['OL'].
3. Mr.J.Shanmugasundara Babu, learned counsel for applicant in all the seven captioned COD applications, submits that the applicants are spouses of deceased workmen who were working in 'The Tamil Nadu Steels Limited' [hereinafter 'said Company' for the sake of convenience and clarity] which has gone into liquidation in the captioned Company Petition i.e., 'C.P.No.378 of 1997' ['main CP'].
4. Adverting to the support affidavit more particularly paragraph 1/3
No.13 thereat, learned counsel submits that the entire matter pertains to V pay commission and its recommendation. It is also submitted that similarly paid workmen had made claim that they were entitled to arrears as per V pay commission and there were proceedings in this Court but the applicants were not aware of the same as the applicants were not in touch with the Trade Union concerned.
5. Considering the nature of the matter and facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the view that COD prayers deserve to be acceded to.
6. All captioned seven applications ordered as prayed for. Delays condoned. There shall be no order as to cost. 25.03.2022 gpa/nsa 2/3
