JUDGMENT

Learned counsel for the appellant Electricity Board would submit that pursuant to the orders of this Court passed in W.A.No.1306 of 2004, dated 24.10.2008, no further orders are required in this appeal. He also filed a Memo, dated 21.01.2022, which reads as under :

1. The Inspector of Labour, Kanchepuram, (1st Respondent) granted permanency order to the 2nd to 9th Respondents on 29.10.2001. The same was challenged by the Appellant before this Court in W.P.No.41922 of 2002 and was dismissed on 09.12.2003 by a learned Single Judge along with a batch of cases, against which the present Writ Appeal was filed.

2. The order of the Single Judge was challenged and a Division Bench of this Court on 24.10.2008, along with other cases disposed the Appeals observing that the claim can be sought only in terms of the settlement dated 10.08.2007.

3. The Appellant states that the claims of all the Nine Respondents were considered and in terms of the Board Proceedings No.35 dated 27.09.2008 (copy enclosed), they were absorbed into the services of the Board in October 2008.

4. It is humbly prayed that this Memo may be taken on record while deciding the appeal and appropriate orders be passed.''
