Respondents PRAYER: The Writ Petition has been filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 12.01.2009 by issuing patta in favour of the petitioner for an extent of 1 acre 16 cents in Survey No.81/6 by reclassifying the land from Grassing ground Poramboke.

O R D E R

The instant Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 12.01.2009.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has made a representation on 12.01.2009 before the 2nd respondent/District Revenue Officer, Vellore District, to issue patta in favour of the petitioner to an extent of 1 acre 16 cents in Survey No.81/6 by reclassifying the land from Grassing ground Poramboke, but, the same is yet to be disposed of by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Heard Mr.N.Inbanathan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on merits of the representation, directs the 2nd respondent/District Revenue Officer, Vellore District, to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 12.01.2009 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the persons interested in this regard and also affording them an opportunity of personal hearing, within a period of six (6) weeks from today (28.01.2019).

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
