ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.) Learned counsel for both the parties informed the court that the issue involved in the present writ petition is covered by the decision rendered by a Division Bench of this Court in WP No.15509 of 2014 etc., batch dated 26.03.2015. Challenging the said order passed by the Division Bench of this Court, the Department has preferred an appeal before the Hon'ble Supreme Court in CA No.10674 of 2018 in the case of Sanchar Nigam Association 2/4

of Telecom Technical Assistants and Another vs Union of India & Ors. The said appeal came to be dismissed on 11.01.2024. Therefore, the issue involved in this writ petition is no longer res integra.

2. In view of above submission made by the learned counsel for both the parties and as the issue involved in the present writ petition is squarely covered by the decision rendered by the Hon'ble Supreme Court cited supra, the writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
