Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, Spl.Govt.Pleader Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to conclude the disciplinary proceedings issued in Na.Ka.No.3669/2015/R.D.2-3 dated 28.08.2015 of the second respondent and pass final order in the said disciplinary proceedings within a stipulated time limit.

This writ petition has been filed, seeking direction to the respondents to conclude the disciplinary enquiry initiated as against the petitioner.
2. The brief facts leading to the filing of the writ petition is as follows. The District Collector, Ariyalur District, has issued a charge memo against the petitioner on 28.08.2015. The petitioner submitted his explanation to the charges on 16.10.2015. The enquiry report was submitted and further explanation to the enquiry report has been submitted on 02.06.2016. As the final report has not been filed, the petitioner submitted a representation to the second respondent on 17.02.2017, requesting the respondents to pass final orders on the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner.
2. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents and submits that the status of the passing of final orders on the disciplinary proceedings against the petitioner is not known and submits that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
if the final orders are not passed so far, the respondents will pass final orders within the time limit fixed by this Court.
3. Under the facts and circumstances stated above, the second respondent is directed to pass final orders, if he has not passed the final orders so far, and is directed to conclude the disciplinary proceedings initiated as against the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
