(Order of the Court was made by R.SUBBIAH, J.) Petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the Respondents to issue Community Certificate to his daughter i.e. R.Vindhya based on his Application dated 11.07.2018.

According to the Petitioner, he belongs to SC AdiDravidar Community. He applied to the 2nd Respondent seeking to issue Community Certificate for his daughter, viz. R.Vindhiya as Hindu SC (Adi-Dravidar). But, the 2nd Respondent rejected the Petitioner's claim. Hence, the Petitioner preferred another Application on 23.07.2018 to the Respondent. Since no action was taken on the said Application, the Petitioner is before this Court.

Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the material documents available on record.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought in this Writ Petition, without traversing into the merits of the claim made by the Petitioner, this Court directs the Respondent to consider the Petitioner's Application dated 11.07.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
