With consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage.
2. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2018 seeking grant of Patta in his favour in respect of the property of 1.06 Acres situate at Perumbakkam Village, Thiruvallur Taluk and District.

3. Earlier, this Court in W.P.No.27586 of 2016 dated 08.08.2016 directed the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.03.2012 and pass orders in accordance with law. Pursuant to the said order, an order dated 17.05.2018 was passed by the third respondent. Aggrieved by the same, an appeal was preferred before the second respondent on 10.08.2018 and the same is kept pending. Therefore, the mandamus is sought for.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions of the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose of the appeal/representation dated 10.08.2018 given by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the persons interested within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
