O R D E R
The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to grant service connection to the petitioner's agricultural land under the Tatkal Self Financing Scheme in respect of his agricultural land in Survey No.94/5 - 0.18.5 ares, Karnavur Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District.
2. Heard Mr.N.Suresh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Varunkumar, learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
3. The petitioner is the owner of the agricultrual lands at Karnavur Village in Tindivanam Taluk. He also has a Well in Survey No.94/6. The petitioner made an application on 21.08.2018 under the Tatkal Self Financing Scheme for agricultural service connection and paid the required amount of Rs.2,50,000/- by Demand Draft dated 04.08.2018 and the same was also duly acknowledged by the respondents. The petitioner has also enclosed all the documents required along with the application. However, no service connection was granted to him. As the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the property and carrying on agricultural activities, the agricultural service connection is very essential. Since no action has been taken by the respondents, the petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition.

After notice to the respondent, counter affidavit has been filed by the respondents, wherein it is stated that the respondent had in response to the application of the petitioner had taken all preliminary steps like field inspection, survey, estimation, etc. Now the material requirement process is under progress. It is also further asserted that agricultural service connection to the petitioner's well will be provided within a period of three months. The respondents have also produced a letter regarding implementation of Tatkal Self Financing Scheme, as per which the petitioner is elligible for load of 5HP, as he has paid Rs.2,50,000/- for the scheme.

As per the said letter, all the Chief Engineers were directed regarding implementation of Tatkal Self Financing Scheme under section priority and to clear all the pending ready parties in Normal, RSFS categories and Government Schemes on war footing before taking up the works of the Tatkal Self Financing Scheme applications and effect service connection within six months. Whereas in the counter affidavit the respondent has assured that the service connection would be given within a period of three months. The said affidavit is dated 15.11.2018. Already one month is over. Hence the respondents are directed to expedite the service connection. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
