The relief sought by the petitioner in this writ petition is to call for the records relating to the proceedings of the Inspector General of Registration, the first respondent made in Paa.Moo.No.930/P1/2018 dated 30.07.2018 rejecting the appeal preferred by the petitioner quash the same and direct the second respondent to release the partition deed presented by the petitioner vide Document No.P201500097/1 on 18.05.2015 before the second respondent under Receipt No.2015402 to the petitioner in respect of the partitioned property situated at Korratur Village, Old Saidapet Taluk, now Ambattur Taluk, Tiruvallur District, comprised in Old Survey No.232/1, New Survey No.232/1A2, measuring 27 1⁄2 cents, by accepting the stamp duty already paid for registering settlement and without making any further demand of duty within a short date.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he has no instruction from the petitioner, despite his sincere efforts to obtain the same. He also made an endorsement to that effect in the case bundle.
3. In view of the above submission coupled with an endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
