Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st & 2nd respondent to pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 09.07.2018 made by the petitioner for payment of retirement benefits including bonus and gratuity dues and other attendant benefits within stipulated time. ORDER

The grievances of the writ petitioner is that the terminal benefits due to him are yet to be settled.

2.The learned counsel for the respondent made a submission that an amount of about Rs.44,00,000/- has already been settled in favour of the writ petitioner and the balance amount of about Rs.1,00,000/- is to be settled. In view of the submissions made, the respondents are directed to settle the balance due to the writ petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.In respect of the allegations of encroachment against the writ petitioner, it is left open to the authorities competent to initiate all further actions by following the procedures contemplated under law.

4.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
