Mr.Vijaya Prashanth Additional Government Pleader(F) Tamil Nadu Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the appeal of the Petitioner dated 09.05.2018 made against the order of the 2nd Respondent dated 18.04.2018 for his reinstatement in service in accordance with law.

O R D E R

The petitioner joined the service of the respondents as a Plot Watcher on 14.06.2014. He met with an accident while returning to his work place and was hospitalized, and was discharged on 11.03.2017. As the respondents have not permitted the petitioner to report for work after discharge from the hospital, the petitioner sent a representation dated 12.02.2018 to the respondents, requesting permission to report to work, which has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the limited relief sought for, this Court is of the view that it is not necessary to dwell into the merits of the issue, but it would be suffice to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.02.2018 and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame.

5. In the above circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.02.2018 and pass orders thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P. is closed.
