Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to furnish the copy of the award passed with regard to the acquisition of the petitioner's plots and arrange for payment of compensation to the petitioner for the said acquisition.

O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to furnish a copy of the award passed with regard to the acquisition of the petitioner's plots.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that the respondent had acquired the land purchased by her vide document No.4436 of 2014 on the file of the SRO, Pallikonda, for highway expansion project, without holding any enquiry or sending communication or making payment of compensation. Hence, the petitioner sent a representation dated 24.03.2018 to the respondent to furnish the details of the acquisition proceedings and for payment of compensation. Since there was no response, the present petition is filed before this Court.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the petitioner has confined her prayer only to furnish a copy of the Award passed by the respondent, since the Award copy has not been furnished to the petitioner. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that a copy of the Award has been sent to the petitioner.

5.Considering the nature of prayer, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.03.2018 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
