PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to direct the respondent to complete the investigation in Cr.No. 5 of 2018 and file final report within a time frame as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed by the defacto complainant to direct the Respondent to complete investigation in Cr.No. 5 of 2018 and file final report at early.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that as per the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.21298 of 2017, the respondent has registered a case on 19.06.2018 in Crime No.5 of 2018 for the offence under section 498(A) IPC, but, thereafter no steps have been taken for completing the investigation and hence he requests to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report at early.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that after registering the case, the matter has been taken up for investigation and the investigation is in progress. She requests to grant two months time for filing final report.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and file final report within two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
