Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records in Proceedings in Na.Ka.No.18081/2016 (H2) dated 24.10.2017 on the file of the third respondent published in Thina Thanthi dated 08.11.2017 and quash the same as illegal, incompetent and without jurisdiction.

When this writ petition is taken up, the learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that during the pendency of this writ petition, the Government has passed an order in G.O.(2D) No.78 Highways & Minor Ports (HQ2) Department dated 23.10.2018 under Section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 and pleaded that the writ petition may be dismissed with liberty to challenge the said Government order.
