This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to provide domestic electricity service connection to the house of the petitioner bearing Site No.17, Door No.74, Kanchi Nagar, Manickarampalayam, Tiruppur-6 in pursuant to the petitioner's application dated 06.09.2018 on the file of the respondent within a stipulated period.

When the matter is called, there is no representation for the petitioner.

Heard Mr.S.K.Raameshuwar, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent.

Though in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, the petitioner claimed that through an unregistered Sale Deed dated 05.09.2018, she has become the owner of the land-in-question, no document has been produced showing that the petitioner is the lawful owner or the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

lawful tenant of the house-in-question. Therefore, it appears that the petitioner is a rank encroacher and as such, no direction as sought for by the petitioner to provide electricity connection to her house could be given. 4.

In the result, the Writ Petition fails and the same is accordingly dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed. No costs.
