Heard Mr.G.Pugazhenthi, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr.V.Arun, Learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mrs. C.Sangamithirai, Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

It is the case of the Petitioner that she had applied for the post of Anganwadi Helper in Child Development Centre at Movur Centre - 2, Kattumannarkoil Block, Cuddalore District and after she had attended interview, the First Respondent had published the selection list dated 19.09.2017 showing that the Petitioner was the successful candidate, but despite submitting joining report dated 22.09.2017 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

declaration letters, she was not issued any appointment order. Aggrieved thereby, the Petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for directing the the First Respondent to issue an order of appointment to the Petitioner as per the selection list dated 19.09.2017 and to consequently direct the Third Respondent to permit the Petitioner to join duty as Anganwadi Helper at the Child Development Centre at Movur Village Center-2. 3.

The Second and Third Respondents have filed separate Counter-Affidavits explaining that the Child Development Centre at Movur had been reserved for B.C. (Muslim) category and as the Petitioner does not belong to the same, she could not be appointed to that post. It has been further stated that no candidate from B.C. (Muslim) category had applied for the post, which is still kept vacant.

In view of the aforesaid submissions made by the Second and Third Respondents, which deserve acceptance, it is not possible to grant the relief sought by the Petitioner in the Writ Petition. It shall be incumbent upon the concerned authorities to fill up the said vacancy by a fresh recruitment process following the prescribed procedure expeditiously. In fine, the Writ Petition is dismissed with the aforesaid observations.

Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
