O R D E R
This Writ Petition is filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 21.03.2018 to rectify his date of birth in the 10th Mark Sheet.
2. The petitioner was born on 30.11.1982 in Chennai. His father was serving in the Air Force and thus, he completed 10th Standard in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jalandhar Cantonment and obtained mark statement dated 15.06.1998, wherein, his date of birth is wrongly mentioned as 08.11.1982. He completed Engineering Graduation in Telecommunication in the year 2005. When he attempted to apply for passport, it came to light that there is a mistake in mentioning the date of birth. Hence, he sent representations to the respondent seeking correction of the same in the tenth mark statement and the last such https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
representation is dated 21.03.2018. But till date, the same do not yield any response. Hence, he is before this Court.
3. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.03.2018 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and also affording him an opportunity of personal hearing, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
