This Writ Petition has been filed for direction forbearing the respondents, their agents, representatives from in any manner disturbing the peaceful possession and enjoyment of the writ petitioners (1 to 52 herein) house Nos.9, 12, 13, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 41, 43, 64, 65, 66, 68, 79, 80, 82, 83, 89, 90, 91, 92, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 110, 127, 128, 129, 130, 131, 136, 137, 138, 139, 140, 141, 142, 143, 144, 145, 148, 149, 10, 11, 26, 67, 88 and 116 respectively situated at Pootai Village and Post, Sankarapuram Taluk, Villupuram District, by completing the Land Acquisition proceedings as per the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Lands for Harijan Welfare Scheme Act, 1978 or any other Act or Power. 2.
The learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 5 submitted that the administrative approval for the 4/6
acquisition has been requested from the Director of Adidravidar Welfare Department i.e. the first respondent herein. Therefore, so far no acquisition proceedings has been initiated against the subject lands. Hence, the possession and enjoyment of the subject lands will not be disturbed. 3.
Recording the above submission, this writ petition stands disposed of. However, it is made clear that if the fourth respondent intends to acquire the subject lands, it should be in accordance with law. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
