Mrs.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioners have come up with this writ petition seeking a direction to the fourth respondent, to grant patta to the third petitioner in respect of the land situated in Survey Nos.102/1C2, 102/1E & 102/1H, Munnakulam Village, Maduranthakam Taluk, Kancheepuram District, pursuant to the representation dated 18.01.2016.

3. According to the learned counsel for the petitioners, the petitioners submitted several representations to the respondents claiming the same relief as prayed in this writ petition, but, the same has not been considered by the respondents. Hence, the petitioners are before this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondent concerned would consider the representation of the petitioners on merits and in accordance with law.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent concerned to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 18.01.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners as well as any other interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
