Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 praying to punish the respondent for contempt of court for having violated deliberately and wantonly the order of this Court dated 20.03.2018 and made in W.P.No.6266 of 2018.

This contempt petition is filed complaining that the order passed in W.P.No.6266 of 2018 dated 20.03.2018 is not complied with.

2. After notice, the matter is taken up for further hearing today. The learned counsel appearing for the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board, based on instructions submitted that provisional voters list in respect of Tambaram Jumma Masjid was published on 25.01.2019. Therefore, she submitted that the representation of the petitioner has been considered and necessary steps are being taken to conduct the election.

3. Recording the above said statement, this Contempt Petition is closed.
