O R D E R

The grievance of the petitioner is that though he was granted promotion to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer admittedly his such promotion having not been regularized, he has not been granted with pension benefit and other benefits and in this regard a representation submitted by the petitioner to the department having evoked no response, he has come to this Court to file this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to accord approval to his promotion and necessary direction to the Chief Engineer to grant him the monetary benefit including pensionary benefit within a stipulated period.

2. After hearing the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, going through the nature of relief sought for, this Court dispose of this writ petition at the stage of admission without seeking any reply affidavit with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the

petitioner with regard to regularization of promotion, after obtaining the required approval from the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order and intimate the decision taken thereof to the petitioner. However, it is made clear that this Court has expressed no opinion on such approval of the promotion of the petitioner, inasmuch as this Court has not examined the merit of such representation with regard to promotion of the petitioner in any manner. No costs.
