Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and fourth respondents to adhere to the request of the petitioner to serve a copy of the TDS remittance challan for Rs.4,92,435/- with the details of the Income Tax Authority and Circle with whom the TDS amount is remitted, failing which, the first respondent has to pay the said amount with interest from the date of deduction, till date of payment and recover the amount from the erring officer, if any, based on the petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2016.

O R D E R

The petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking a direction to the first and fourth respondents to adhere to the request of the petitioner to serve a copy of the TDS remittance challan for Rs.4,92,435/- with the details of the Income Tax Authority and Circle with whom the TDS amount is remitted, based on the petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2016.

2. When the matter is taken up for consideration, on instructions, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the certificate and copy of the challan for remittance of TDS would be provided to the petitioner, if not provided earlier.

3. The above submission of the learned Special Government Pleader is hereby recorded. The respondents are directed to provide the copy of the challan for remittance of TDS, to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
