O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed directing the respondent to consider and dispose the petitioner's appeal.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner is a driver in the Metropolitan Transport Corporation, Chennai and the vehicle driven by him was met with an accident on 27.07.2018. Based on that a criminal case wa registered against him in Cr.No.179 of 2018 and proceedings has also been initiated under Section 19(1) of the Motor Vehicles Act. Thereafter, order also came to be passed suspending the licence of the petitioner for a period of six months. Challenging the said order, the petitioner filed an appeal before the respondent on 18.09.2018. But, so far the appeal is not disposed of. Hence, this present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's appeal and pass suitable order on merits and in accordance with law, after giving opportunity to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
