This petition has been filed to direct the respondent herein to register the F.I.R on the petitioner's complaint dated 08.05.2015.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
3.Today Mr.C.Stalin Manickam, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Mangalamedu Police Station is present before this Court. 4.On instructions, the learned Government Advocate Advocate submitted that a case in Crime No. 142 of 2018 has been registered on 03.10.2018 under Section 409 IPC. 5.Under normal circumstances, this Court would have closed this petition, since regular FIR has been registered. However, in this case the complainant is the Post Office Inspector and the allegations in the FIR is that the accused was working as a cashier in Pillankulam Post Office and that, he had misappropriated the amounts deposited by account holders to a tune of Rs.43,000/-.

6.In the opinion of this Court, Kaikalathur Police Station is essentially a law and order Police Station and they may not have necessary expertise to deal with an offence of this nature. Therefore, this Court directs the transfer of investigation in Kaikalathur Police Station Crime No.142 of 2018 to the District Crime Branch, Perambalur. The Inspector of Police, Kaikalathur Police Station shall obtain necessary orders from the Superintendent of Police, Perambalur and transfer the Case Diary to the District Crime Branch, Perambalur within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The District Crime Branch, Perambalur is directed to expeditiously complete investigation.
