This petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.1407 of 2014, on the file of the respondent police/Inspector of Police, T4, Madhuravoyal Police Station, Chennai.
2.The ground on which, the quashment sought for is, there is a delay in registration of the FIR and that the case has been registered as ground next for detention order based upon the confession statement given by the defacto complainant.
3.Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) and perused the materials placed on record.
4.On a perusal of the complaint in Crime No.1407 of 2014, I find that there are cognizable offences and the offences under Sections 307 and 324 of IPC were also mentioned in the FIR. Hence, the plea raised in the petition is matter for investigation and quashing of the FIR does not arise and I find no merits in this case.
