Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 4th Respondent herein to take action over the petitioner's complaint dated 25.06.2018. O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the fourth respondent to take action over the petitioner's complaint dated 25.06.2018.

2. It is stated that through the said complaint, the petitioner alleged that some malpractices have been done in distributing the Thane Cyclone Relief Fund to the affected people belonging to the Keezhur and other villages and consequently, the petitioner seeks for action against the erring officials.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents based on instructions submitted today that already the fourth respondent is conducting an enquiry. Therefore, the petitioner's complaint will be looked into by the fourth respondent and appropriate orders will be passed.

4. The Inspector of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Cuddalore, through status report dated 28.02.2019 filed before this Court, informed that based upon the petitioner's complaint, a preliminary enquiryring was registered in PE 235/2018/REV/CL as per memorandum of Director of Vigilance and Anti Corruption dated 23.07.2018 and that the investigation is going on.

5. In view of the above status report filed by the Inspector of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Cuddalore, the fourth respondent shall complete the investigation and based upon the result of the said investigation, he shall act in accordance with law further.

6. In view of the above stated facts and circumstances, this Court is of the view that no further orders is necessary in this writ petition, as the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition directing the fourth respondent to take action over the petitioner's complaint dated 25.06.2018, is already being worked out.

7. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
