PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, call for the records in connection with the order of Detention passed by the second respondent 04.09.2018 in Memo No.785/BCDFGISSSV/2018 against the petitioner husband Saravanan @ Saravana Kumar, male aged 34 years S/o.Nagaraj, who is confined at Central Prison Puzhal, Chennai and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before the Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J] The petitioner, who is the wife of the detenu herein, viz., Saravanan @ Saravana Kumar, son of Nagaraj, aged 34 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the second respondent by his order in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

No.785/BCDFGISSSV/2018, dated 04.09.2018 against her husband branding him as a "GOONDA" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the husband of the petitioner herein dated 04.09.2018 has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.4676, Home, Prohibition & Excise [X] Department dated 24.10.2018 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
